Jacobs new sponsor - Beretta

So I told you I would post a few pictures of our friends son, Jacob, he is doing well in his Shooting Competitions - just won another match in New Mexico. You can see some of my photos of him on the Beretta web page as well - kind of cool even though I don't have a photo credit - I still know they are mine :)

Last day of summer vacation and the first day of school

Wow that went by fast - can't believe we are back in school routine mode already. Not ready for 9 months of getting up early everyday :(

The kids have been playing with their slip and slide every day - it has been warm since the monsoons took a break.

Addi started first grade today. Mrs. Cassidy is her new teacher - she seemed pretty happy to go. Has missed some of her school friends we didn't see too much over the summer - this is Addi with her friend Reese (who she insists is her sister).

Summer Over

Can't believe that summer is truly coming to an end. Little Addi starts first grade on Monday, not sure what Bryton and I will do with ourselves all day. Summer went by too quickly. Swim lessons ended today as well. Was so glad I grabbed a few photos of them in the pool - Bryton was actually diagnosed with swimmer's ear and therefore missed the last couple days of class. So happy I got this photo of him hanging on the pool deck - how he spent his time in class waiting for the next activity.

New Dress

Wow - it has been awhile since I have posted anything. Have been so busy with everything - summer vacation, photos, work, etc....it just never ends. Addi received some clothes from a friend of ours and this beautiful dress was in the mix...took some pictures to test out my neighbors field of flowers.

Have a few, and I mean a few, of Bryton that I will put up later - he spent most of his time playing in the mud :(

 

This is on the invite to our "joint" Birthday Celebration...can't believe we are both turning 45! When did we get so old???

One more..

well we are going to brave Phoenix today - supposed to be 120 degrees, we'll see. I feel better and have time off so we will spend 1 night down in Scottsdale so the kids can swim and play, etc.

Summer Update

Summer continues with swimming lessons, camp and other activities. Staying busy - we were supposed to go camping this weekend and of all things I was the one who came down sick, food poisoning I think. Starting to feel better but still not much of an appetite and really tired (more so then normal), lol...
Took the kids by the studio today - still feel like I am not in control of the light in there and am getting used to my new lens still. Took a few photos and despite their mismatched clothing, got a few nice pictures.

Pre-Father's Day Pictures

Here are a few more from our photo session. I really just wanted one stellar picture of the kids together to put in tim's office but didn't really get an awesome one - someone is always acting silly. I did get some nice individual pictures and I am still sorting through them - maybe one of them together will grow on me after I edit some more :)

New Lens

Playing with my new lens today - it was warm and breezy out, which is normally great but there is a large forest fire burning in town and they have evacuated many homes. Hoping they get it contained soon. Here is our view of the fire.

Happy father's Day

Hope you all had a wonderful day. We were busy but it was fun and somewhat relaxing...tomorrow is Monday again and we are back on our summer schedule with swim lessons and other activities. We did a little photo shoot the other day and I got one of my favorite pictures of Tim and the kids to date - this will be going in my studio, big....

Summer fun

So school has been out for a whole week! Wow - a lot more vacation time to go, lol. We are trying to stay busy with swimming lessons, movies, play dates and day camp starts next week.

Thought I would show you a few of the wedding photos and a picture I took of the kids this afternoon. Bryton was not in a very cooperative mood - he was too busy playing to sit still for a photo.

Big Lens

Wow it has been awhile since I posted anything...just have been so busy with life, work, kids, etc. Slowed down a bit today to celebrate mom's 81st Birthday. Plus I rented a lens for the weekend wedding activities and had to test it out tonight. It is big and heavy - don't think I will be anxious to purchase this particular one anytime soon...don't think my wrists can take it. Hope it proves to be beneficial for the wedding.
Today was Addisons' last day of kindergarten - next year first grade. Time goes by too fast.

Mommy's Tea

Today was Mommy's Tea at Bryton's school. So fun to see him enjoying school and participating in the program. Of course his best little friend Aubrey goes to school with him as well...I'm sure that helps a little.

Busy Times

Sorry for the lack of posts - just never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything on my list done. We took a couple days this weekend and just spent some quality family time - was my first full weekend off in a very long time. We went to the local, very small, carnival on Friday night. Alex went with us and had fun going on rides with the kids.

We spent one day in Phoenix enjoying the spring weather and then a well needed chores around the house day on Sunday. Have had a run of photo shoots lately and am now looking at so many sessions that need editing it is hard for me to even sit at my computer...gets a little overwhelming at times - most of the pressure I put on myself - feeling like I need to have a 2 day turn-around, which is very unrealistic. Oh well thought you'd like to see a couple pictures from the 2 newborn sessions I did this week, although you may have seen them on facebook.
